Darryl and Heather Hedger with their 3 children moved to Hervey Bay in March 1981 and took over Central Plumbing Supplies a few months later. This business was run from a tin shed opposite where Bunning’s are now before moving into new modern premises and showroom in Islander Rd Pialba in 1991. 

During the mid 80s requests from a few customers for solar hot water was received and this is when an association with Edwards Solar Hot Water was established. 

Central Plumbing was sold some years later and in 2001 the Hedger’s were approached by Edwards’s management to become a part of Edwards Solar Hot Water Australian Dealer Network to market Edwards Solar hot water products throughout this Queensland region.

Sales growth is expected to rise over the next few years as people become more conscious of their environment and to counter continuing electricity price increases.
